AskMen 25th Anniversary
To paraphrase the classic movie Some Like It Hot: “Quarter of a century — makes a guy think.”
That’s right. AskMen was launched onto the worldwide web on August 23rd, 1999, which makes it now officially a 25-year-old. Over the past two-and-a-half decades, it’s been home to many dozens of editors, many hundreds of writers, and many tens if not hundreds of thousands of articles. It’s expressed viewpoints both forward-thinking and regressive, both serious and silly, both wise and, frankly, silly. It’s been a place that’s pushed buttons, raised questions, and expressed in various ways the nature of what it’s meant to be a man in the first quarter of the 21st century.
To celebrate, today’s AskMen team has put together a look back at that very subject — how has masculinity changed over the past 25 years when it comes to the way men look and feel, how they love and how they grow, as well as our predictions for the future of masculinity. Won’t you join us in celebration by giving these articles a click or two?
